The account of Working with Bill

by Harry Child

Last April I got the chance to record a radio play with Bill. Meeting him was really exciting as I had seen him in 'Love Actually' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean'. He was just as brilliant in real life, really friendly and funny. The play was called 'I wish to Apologise for my part in the Apocalypse' and the writer, Duncan Macmillan had written a fantastic part for the annoying kid next door, Oscar - that was me! I had loads of scenes with Bill - his character had to get really angry with me at first and then we became friends.  I learned a lot about acting from doing those scenes with Bill, he was brilliant. I really hope the BBC repeat the play. It got a great write up in 'The Telegraph'.
