THE DON

There was an article in The Guardian, 03-09-04. You can read it here:

Article about radio play "The Don"

Nice to know:

Scenes of that drama were really done ''on location''. In one some actors did chase Bill Nighy across Hampstead Heath making sheep noises. Bill Nighy mentioned:

"Acting is a pretty daft affair, generally speaking, but being ravaged by imaginary sheep in the rain on Hampstead Heath with several grown men and women standing around watching is up there in my top ten weird moments," laughs Nighy. "But then, people on the heath are quite used to nutters - they think you're a religious group performing a strange ceremony or something."

...

"I enjoy recording on location as it's usually quite funny," says Nighy, "I've been to Regent's Park in search of ducks but, of course, they didn't make any noise at all. The sound men ended up throwing stones - not at them, but somewhere near them to get them to squawk."
